Bally Sports 360 Photo Experience Structure

Bally Sports is a regional sports network, the broadcast home for sports fans across the country. Their team coverage includes Major League Baseball, NBA, NFL, NHL, and more. When they wanted to reach out to sports fans with an interactive experience it had to work for a huge variety of venues and fan bases.

As the ultimate sports fans themselves they knew that there's one thing every sports fan wants: to be part of the game.

The Request

Ballys Sports had a vision for putting fans in the game with a 360 degree video experience. When paired with green screen technology the right design could work for every type of fan imaginable.

Now all they needed was a structure with the same level of flexibility.

A rugged structure that could pop-up at events across the country again and again, be customized with the Bally Sports brand, work at both indoor and outdoor venues, and host a seamless 360 video inside.

The Plan

A 360 video experience is a sad thing if it isn't really 360 degrees so the core of the project centered around two curved media walls, Chroma Key Green on one side and printed with the Bally Sports brand on the other. Using green screen allowed a different fun backdrop to be added for every fan experience.

A MONARCHTENT is the perfect option for an interactive experience that's touring the country. Most companies only make their printed tents is set sizes but we love a custom job.

We started with a 15x15 custom printed MONARCHTENT and raised the roof with extended legs, taking the overhead clearance to 9 feet to fit the media walls with ease. We added four double thickness printed walls with a zippered entry to block out the light in outdoor settings. We also added a Chroma Key Green floor to complete the area that could be a part of the 360 video.

The Results

The end result was a heavy-duty tent that was easy to deploy time and again.

The Ballys 360 Experience debuted at Cincinnati Reds Fest, subsequently hitting the road to travel to sports events across the country, creating interactive fan experiences everywhere it goes—from Ohio to Atlanta, Minnesota, Indiana, and beyond. As the 360 Experience continues its tour of athletic events, fans have been actively sharing their custom videos on Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
